This was a new location for Embrace, in Bourg d'Oisans at the foot of Alpe d'Huez instead of the regular mini-chateau in the countryside. It had all kinds of advantages: no long rides to get into the alps - we were about five minutes' away from a TdF classic! Loads of other options for tremendous rides - Galibier, into Italy, the route of the Alpe d'Huez triathlon etc. We swam in a gorgeous lake, quite similar to Paladru but smaller; ran through local woods and along a river - nicer than the old run routes - and could walk into the town of Bourg in seconds. Neil did a croissant run every morning. The house itself had fewer rooms than the usual place, so wouldn't suit a bigger party, but there were only four of us punters, plus Neil and Alan, so it was ideal. We were well suited in abilities and experience (and outlook) and we got on very well. Very enjoyable trip, challenging, inspiring and great preparation for upcoming races. Thanks!

My second embrace trip and a very different training experience. Beautiful scenery and very rewarding training, with the week tailored towards the 2 hill climbs but good mix of sessions throughout. The farmhouse location is a perfect setup to cater for group interaction and down time.

I never thought I was someone who would go on a running holiday; but not only did I go, I managed every single session, and I really enjoyed it! The Embrace coaches were knowledgeable and supportive, and it has changed my approach to training. It was a beautiful location, the food was delicious, and we had so much fun. I'll be back in the new year.

This was my 3rd Embrace trip - first in the Pyrenees - and I loved it just as much as the first 2! The location was stunning, the food was delicious and my running improved, as it always does on these trips, thanks to the support and encouragement from the coaches and other campers. Will be back ASAP

This was my first Pyrenees holiday but my 4th with Embrace. They have all been amazing and the Pyrenees cycling was fantastic. I was worried about being a slow cyclist but I was taken good care of and supported. Thank you so much to the team!

I had a fantastic time with Embrace in the Pyrenees. I loved the location which was an hour transfer from Toulouse and we could easily cycle from the door to do some great climbs. As usual with Embrace the food is a highlight - you cannot beat home cooked food. I big shout out for Chris who patiently supported me as the slower rider in the group. I cannot wait until my next Embrace holiday!

My 3rd Embrace holiday and it won't be my last. Great running locations, great session set ups, fantastic accommodation and tasty food. It's a bargain and so many people come back that every time you go again it's like meeting up with old friends. If you want a more detailed view of what happens each day, I wrote them up over here: http://www.rock-crawler.co.uk/2019/04/08/embrace-holiday-round-up/ Highly recommended!

Fantastic week in Lagos. Was my first training holiday with Embrace and I absolutely loved it. Great bunch of supportive people (coaches and other runners), plenty of tasty food, and a wide variety of training sessions. I didn't believe I would be able to do all the sessions, or run twice in one day, as it seemed like too big a step up from my normal running week but I really surprised myself and discovered how much you can achieve when you are being looked after so well and have time to relax. Thank you and I hope to come back to another camp. Highly recommended.

We returned from our second Embrace trip full of enthusiasm for a summer of running. It's a great way to brush off the winter cobwebs. Whatever your ability or level, the running is challenging and tailored to suit every member of the group. The sense of achievement at the end of the week is worth the effort. The coaches are fantastic cooks, with the menus carefully thought out in relation to fuelling and recovery. These guys work so hard behind the scenes while us "guests" recover by the pool. Their knowledge is amazing and they are so encouraging of each and every runner from the super dooper runner to the not so super and everyone in between. The feeling of camaraderie in the group is great, with everyone from 60 plus year olds to 20 somethings getting along together, helping each other out, supporting each other and just having a fun time together. Celebrating a milestone birthday with this great group of people is something I'll remember for a long, long time. Looking forward to trying the Alps next! Keep doing what you do so well Neil and Co.

Thanks to all the embrace team for a great week of running in Portugal. The setup was excellent and allows for some tough but enjoyable training sessions. Looking forward to my second trip!
