Dates: Sat 19th – Sat 26th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £675...June 7, 2018This was my fourth Embrace camp, but my first one in the Pyrenees. As always, the coaches were very knowledgeable and wonderful to work with. But I do like to emphasize the food when I talk about Embrace holidays. The coaches cook the most amazing dinners, and having good food together creates a wonderful atmosphere for the social aspect of the trip. The farmhouse we stayed at is very charming, and the views from the property are amazing. And, of course, the location allows for some epic rides.
Dates: Sat 19th – Sat 26th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £675...June 1, 2018Just back from an amazing week in the Pyrenees. This was my fourth 'holiday' with the team and I have now completed the set of all three locations -Alps, Pyrenees and Portugal as well as running, duathlon and triathlon camps. Admittedly I did not swim on the triathlon camp but everyone who did looked like they were having fun! This camp did not disappoint. The location was great - rustic French farmhouse superbaly located for some great riding and a nice backdrop for relaxing after a hard days play. The coaches - Graeme, Neil, Andy, Rachel and Kat- were as good as ever. It really doesnt matter whether you are an elite athlete or a beginner, you wil get the same attention and feel the shared joy in your achievements. As ever the people that we were with were great and supportive of each other. And in case anyone thinks this is a health camp, it's not. Yes there is plenty of focus on fitness and good nutrition but everyone (if they want to) enjoys their beer and wine of an evening - it is a holiday after all! Looking forward to booking up again for next year.
Dates: Sat 19th – Sat 26th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £675...June 1, 2018This was my third Embrace holiday but my first duathlon holiday (the others were running holidays in Lagos). First, the non-training stuff: The welcome from the coaches was warm and genuine. The farmhouse location was beautiful, and it was a pleasure looking at the view of the mountains from the bedroom window every day. The accommodation is full of French rustic charm. And the food cooked by the coaches was, as usual, delicious and plentiful. And the training: I'm a novice to cycling, so I went hoping that my couple of months of training at home would be enough to get me through the week (it was - just about!!) As on previous holidays, the training schedule looked daunting / scary / undoable! At the evening briefings I tried not to be too petrified by the talk of the gradients and length of the climbs, and just took one day at a time, which seemed to work... (it was almost as if the coaches knew what they were doing! :)) The coaches looked after us, encouraged us, and pushed me to achieve more than I thought would be possible to achieve - especially if you had asked me at the beginning of the week. In fact, I'm still buzzing from the achievement of cycling up to the snow-capped peaks of Col de Tourmalet now! I would thoroughly recommend this holiday (and any Embrace holiday) to anyone who wants an active holiday with the friendliest coaches and like-minded runners / cyclists. Go for it - you won't regret it!
Dates: Sat 19th – Sat 26th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £675...May 31, 2018As a pure cyclist husband of a triathlete wife, I followed my wife here, but only after she assured me I could skip the running, and cycle some more cols instead. 😉 The riding here is superb, both with the group/coaches, and if you go off on your own. The location is perfect for reaching many of the best climbs in the Pyrenees. The food is simply amazing. The coaches are friendly and professional. The atmosphere is informal and fun. I even got lured into doing my first duathlon. I definitely had a lot of fun trying it out, although I have no plans of taking it any further.
Dates: Thurs 10th – Thurs 17th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £625...May 31, 2018This was my second Embrace Sports holiday in eight months. This picturesque farmhouse located in the French Pyrenees is a fantastic location and setting to train. I really enjoyed running in the scenic countryside, trails and a lake! The Col d' Aspin challenge on the final day of training was incredibly rewarding. I felt really good completing the challenge with the training schedule priming you for the challenge. It was fantastic running with good people, knowledgeable coaches who are also excellent cooks. The meals are simply awesome. I plan to go for my third Embrace holiday soon.
Dates: Thurs 10th – Thurs 17th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £625...May 27, 2018This was my 3rd Embrace holiday & yet again really enjoyed it with a great group of fellow runners. We ran in different locations with amazing views with the highlight running up Col D'Aspin. The coaches are friendly, supportive to everyone of all abilities & also serve up delicious food. Already booked my next trip with Embrace.
Dates: Thurs 10th – Thurs 17th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £625...May 27, 2018Second time in the Pyrenees - and it was a great trip with lovely people. Brilliant mix of training sessions in a series of beautiful locations - even on a week like this when the Pyrenees weather was doing it's 3 seasons in one day thing. Love the farmhouse and the views! And absolutely loved the final challenge of the week - running up Col D'Aspin. It's great to do something out of the usual - and the Embrace crew really know how to put together a week's training - and great food - that gets you to your goal. Will be back I know!
Dates: Thurs 10th – Thurs 17th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £625...May 25, 2018This was my fourth Embrace Holiday in 12 months (shows these guys know what they are doing!), and again it didn't disappoint. The rustic French farmhouse located in a rural location was perfect for the accommodation with plenty of space for everyone and an amazing hot tub! Training was superb, as coaches really know their stuff, and to be able to say that I've run up Col D'Aspin is a massive achievement. No review is complete without mentioning the food! If these guys ever stop running, they could easily just have cooking holidays!! Food was absolutely superb. Will definitely be back again 🙂
Dates: Thurs 10th – Thurs 17th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £625...May 25, 2018This was my 9th camp! My first camp was February 2011 in Portugal and that’s where I’ve been going ever since. This year I finally decided to try another location - the Pyrenees. I had no idea what to expect, other than a lot of hills and I don't like hills (as a rule)! All the usual praise applies - the hospitality, run routes, food and accommodation were spot on. The location was so peaceful and utterly stunning, despite the rain! The highlight was, of course, running up Col d’Aspin on the last day. It was a daunting prospect but my goodness what a game changer that run was. The second half pushes you to your edge, but with an epic team spread along the 12km climb cheering you on (literally and in spirit) running this col was an experience everyone should have. Not only is it stunning, tough and emotional, it’s levelling, time to get perspective realise that our bodies are capable of the most amazing things and we need to be proud and thankful everyday that we have the opportunity and ability to do this stuff. I can’t thank the Embrace team enough for this experience. I can’t wait to do it again!!
Dates: Thurs 10th – Thurs 17th May 2018 Location: Pyrenees, France Price: £625...May 24, 2018Loved it so much last year, back for the second year running. Once again a fantastic trip with excellent Coaches and like minded runners making for more great memories. Can’t recommend Embrace Sports highly enough, never disappointed. Looking forward to the next trip.
