Thank you so much for such a brilliant experience at the triathlon camp. As a pretty novice multi-sporter this was a fantastic experience. I learnt so much and challenged myself in so many ways. I’ve done a couple of Embrace run holidays before but this surpassed all expectations I had. Great accommodation, coaches, facilities. I can’t wait to come back!

This was my first Embrace holiday and I will hopefully be booking another for next year! The resort was fantastic and the staff were amazing. The level of difficulty to the activities was well-judged so I felt challenged but not overwhelmed. The food was excellent and I particularly appreciated the porridge in the morning.

Absolutely brilliant! The triathlon camp was exactly what I hoped for. I was pushed hard but still enjoyed every second. The coaches were really supportive and knowledgeable and made the whole week really fun. The whole group were so friendly and approachable, and and I generally just had a fantastic time. I came home feeling loads fitter after only a week, and motivated and well-advised to improve my training.

Just back from another fabulous embrace holiday!!! I have done running camps before but this was my first tri camp… I was not disappointed! Fabulous group of fellow sporting enthusiasts, wonderful and encouraging coaches and a fun, well thought out schedule for the week’s training. A very AWESOME triathlon holiday this was and a very fun way of training abroad while having lots of fun. I met the most incredible,like-minded people, all with the same goal of enjoying themselves whilst improving their knowledge and practice of their chosen sport, whether it be running or triathlon. With the coaches’ expert advice, I achieved more in a week than I ever thought possible and came away with a passion to pursue my training with vigour over the coming winter months (even in the cold and rain!). Lots of fabulous food, drink, good company and sun helped make this an amazing holiday. I will return very soon.

5 out of 5 Tri Camp

I’ve been on a number of Embrace Sports holidays (running and triathlon) both in Portugal and France and this is one of my favourites. It’s a particularly good camp as there is a mix of runners and triathletes, so there are always lots of people around to talk to.

The venue is lovely, with a large social area and comfortable apartments with balconies, which are great for drying all of your kit. Another advantage of this holiday is the location. It’s easy to do a 5km recovery run as there is a beautiful coastal loop nearby… but there are also some challenging hills and it’s a short drive to other spectatcular training locations.

The beach where we go for early morning swims is attractive and sheltered, so it’s rare for a swim to be cancelled. However, the apartments are also close to a 50m outdoor pool and an indoor pool.

The cycling in this area is also varied, with some lovely flat (and fast) coastal routes and also some climbs such as Monchique (and the short, but no less formidable ‘Punisher’).

Embrace Camps aren’t all about the training – the home-made food is delicious and there is also time for socialising, lounging by the pool and visiting the town.

Finally, I need to say that the coaches are great. They are excellent athletes, but also highly qualified coaches who want to support everyone to achieve their own goals. I went to my first Embrace Camp as a runner and came away determined to learn to swim and complete a triathlon.

A brilliant experience with Embrace triathlon training in the Algarve. Fantastic value for money, perfect and beautiful locations for all three disciplines, excellent catering and accommodation, and knowledgeable and friendly coaches who made everyone very welcome. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend an Embrace holiday to anyone looking for a tough, yet achievable and enjoyable training week away from the UK and in a more pleasant climate.

This was an exceptional experience, combining holiday aspects into a training camp at a great location. The coaches are experienced and knowledgeable in their craft and have created sessions utilising the local environment to great advantage – run courses on trails, track and hills, cycle routes on quiet, well maintained roads, with hills and flat sections, and ocean and pool swimming options. The training sessions are flexible enough to cater to a wide range in ability allowing individuals to push themselves in pace and/or distance to suit your own needs. The accommodation is unique in having exclusive access to the hotel and facilities, and close to the town centre for free time and exploring options.
